Biography:

Richard G. Mathieu is the McDonald Bradley Fellow and Chair of the Department of Computer Information Systems and Management Science at James Madison University. He has published numerous articles on the critical success factors in the development and implementation of information systems and more recently on project management issues related to the distributed enterprise. His articles have appeared in Communications of the ACM, IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, Computers in Industry, Production Planning and Control, Computer (IEEE), Computers and Industrial Engineering, Internet Research, International Journal of Computer Integrated Manufacturing, and the Journal of Information Systems Education. Currently he is the IT Systems column editor for Computer (IEEE) and is on the editorial review boards for the International Journal of Business Process Integration and Management, the International Journal of Services and Operations Management, and Operations Management Research. He is a program evaluator (PEV) for the Computing Sciences Accreditation Board (CSAB) of ABET. He received his Ph.D. and M.S. from the University of Virginia and his B.S. from the University of Delaware.
