Ning Xu received his Ph. D. degrees in Electronic science and technology from the University of ElectronicScience and Technologyof China at Chengdu in 2003. He was a postdoctoral research fellow at Tsinghua University form 2003 to 2005. He was a visiting scholar at Texas A&M University form 2008 to 2009.Currently, he is a Professor at the School of Computer Science and Technology of Wuhan University of Technology, Wuhan, and a director of the VLSI EDA Laboratory. 

Dr. Ning’s research interests include computer-aided design of VLSI circuits and systems, design and synthesis of system-on-a-chip, Network on Chip, Wireless Sensor Network, and highly scalable algorithms. He has published over 40 research papers and led over 10 research projects supported by NSFC and a number of industrial sponsors in these areas. He served on the technical program committees and executive committees of many conferences, such as ICCCAS, DCABES, and CAD/CG, and reviewer for several journals.
