Yuhua Li received a PhD degree in general engineering from the University of Leicester. He worked at the Manchester Metropolitan University and then the University of Manchester from June 2000 to September 2005 as a Senior Research Fellow and a Postdoctor Research Associate, respectively. He took a lectureship in 2005 at the School of Computing and Intelligent Systems, the University of Ulster. His research interests include pattern recognition, neural networks, signal processing, intelligent health monitoring and fault diagnosis, semantic similarity analysis and conversational agents, and knowledge-based systems.
